AdvR’s 11,000 ft2 facility is well equipped with suitable computer hardware and software to conduct theoretical investigations and computer assisted design analysis. A chemistry lab includes ovens, fume hoods, polishing stations, DISCO 321 semi-automated dicing saw and other equipment involved in processing nonlinear optical crystals. A separate room with Class 100 clean tent is equipped for device assembly.

Three optics laboratories are equipped for evaluating experimental set-ups and characterizing both optical structures, modules, and lasers. These labs include eight optical tables, optics, mounts, beam profiler, optical spectrum analyzer, wavelength meters, and numerous cw laser systems (cw Ti:Sapphire laser, 5 W 532 nm Elforlight laser, 7 W argon ion laser, several cw Nd:YAG lasers, diode lasers at various wavelengths, 500 mJ picosecond Nd:YAG laser, and a 3 and a 15 W Yb fiber laser). Additionally, AdvR has an electronics shop and machine shop for fabricating or modifying specialized components.
